Erin Cahill (Jen, Time Force) appeared on last week's new episode of "The Mentalist" in the sixth episode of the second season titled "Black Gold and Red Blood." Cahill guest starred as Donna Hines, whose husband is found murdered at the start of the episode. Donna & her father (and their spouses) are in the midst of a windfall thanks to oil found on their family land. This leads the show's investigators to believe that Donna's husband may have been killed by someone in the family to prevent him from getting a piece of the cash since he & Donna were having marital problems. Donna of course denies any role in her husband's death. In the end, it's discovered that her father's much-younger wife, Sandrine was having an affair with Donna's husband and killed him after he told her he planned to tell their spouses everything so he could move on with Donna. Expert investigator Patrick Jane (series star Simon Baker) announces his suspicions the day of the funeral, even though he's on the run for escaping from prison. It is my pet show. I watch all the episodes of Mentalist. There are several unforgettable moments in this show which I can't fail to remember. Characters of this show are just extraordinary.
