James Gaylyn in "Avatar" (2009)

James Gaylyn (Colonel Truman, RPM) appeared as an extra in the epic film from James Cameron. Gaylyn apppears in "Avatar" as a member of the Op Center Staff and is credited as such in the film. In his very first scene, his voice can be heard faintly as the camera explores the Op Center for the first time. Gaylyn does not have any other lines in the film and never interacts with any of the film's stars, though he can be seen in the background of a couple pivotal scenes. The first finds scientist Grace (played by Sigourney Weaver) and the film's main character, Jake Sully (played by Sam Worthington) attempting to convince their detractors that the Na'vi have an intelligent connection to their environment so that their trees and homes won't be destroyed. Gaylyn's unnamed character is seen once again watching amongst the crowd as the fiendish Colonel Quaritch announces the Na'vi threat to his forces and plans his climactic final assault. "Avatar" was previously featured on the blog due to the appearance of Kelson Henderson. It was recently announced that three sequels to the film are now in concurrent development.
