Former SPD Ranger Chris Violette (Sky, SPD) appeared on the big screen in horror legend George A. Romero's "Diary of the Dead." Violette had a starring role as Gordo Thorsen, one of a group of college students who are filming a horror movie when an outbreak of zombies occurs. As they try to save their own lives, they videotape their exploits so that the world will see the devastation, not the government cover-up. While he appears in several scenes, Violette's character doesn't last too long. He's the second member of the group to be attacked by a zombie and killed. Filmed in Violette's native Canada, the film also stars Shawn Roberts. Violette & Roberts both appeared on the Canadian series "Degrassi: The Next Generation" in the episode "Ghost in the Machine."
