Tom Hern, James Napier, Antonia Prebble & Beth Allen on "The Tribe" (2002)

The fourth episode of "The Tribe's" fourth series/season features the four starring PR alums in major roles. Tom Hern (Devin, Dino Thunder) continues as Ram, the leader of the invading Technos. This episode finds him dealing with a major security breach when one of his men, the young Ved loses his communicator, which is snatched by one of the Mallrats. Ram uses the incident to get into the head of his general, Jay, played by James Napier (Conner, Dino Thunder). Jay scolds his brother for losing the device, but is torn between his duty to Ram and his brother's safety when Ram suggests Jay choose his brother's punishment. It turns out to be a joke on Ram's part but he warns Ved that if he screws up again, he could be deleted. Ram later tracks the device, which could lead him right to the mall. Meanwhile, outside the city, Antonia Prebble's (Clare, Mystic Force) character, Trudy, continues to travel with her best friend and new mother, Amber, played by Beth Allen (Vella, Overdrive). The girls aren't making it very far in their journey, due to lack of food. They find a shelter for the night and after some long thoughts about her love, Bray (the departed Dwayne Cameron), Amber decides not to go back to the Mallrats in the city, but instead to go look for her other tribe, the Gaians. Trudy disagrees, worried that Amber may not make it and her own desire to return to their friends in the wake of the invasion. In the end, though, Trudy joins Amber, leaving the city behind.
