James Napier, Antonia Prebble, Beth Allen & Tom Hern on "The Tribe" (2002)

The second episode of "The Tribe's" fourth season featured four PR alums. Antonia Prebble (Clare, Mystic Force) and Beth Allen (Vella, Overdrive) continued their roles as Trudy and Amber. Reunited in the countryside, Trudy finds herself trying to help Amber give birth, as she's in heavy labor, crying out for her love, Bray. Trudy talks her through the delivery, announcing that Amber's baby is a boy. Trudy later discovers the ring that Amber gave Bray and realizes something terrible must have happened for him to leave it behind. She lies to Amber, who is busy bonding with her son to worry about Bray. Dwayne Cameron appears briefly, as Bray is seen unconscious in a truck. The footage of him, however, is reused from the previous season. James Napier's (Conner, Dino Thunder) role as Jay becomes more clear, as the Technos take over the city. With the help of his younger brother, Ved, Jay secures more of the kids in the city, along with a base of operations for the Technos, in the form of a stadium. When the remaining Mallrats arrive to confront the new tribe, Jay warns his brother not to use force against them. Jay tries to convince the Mallrats to go along with the Technos' takeover so they won't be harmed, but things get out of hand and his brother shoots. Jay later makes it clear to Ved that their job is not to hurt anyone. Jay later contacts the Technos' leader, Lord Ram, played by Tom Hern (Devin, Dino Thunder). Ram appears in a few scenes of the episode, as he is informed that the city is secure enough for him to enter. Ram shows his aversion to germs and nature as he feels forced to enter the dirty city. His crew passes a scared Trudy on the road into the city.
