Firass Dirani on "House Husbands" (2012)

Firass Dirani (Nick/Bowen, Mystic Force) rebounded from the cancellation of "The Straits," with the family drama "House Husbands," where he stars as Justin, a disgraced and booted football player struggling to maintain a relationship with his three young children, as their mother (shacked up with Justin's ex-agent) fights to get full custody. Justin meets three fellow fathers, Mark, Lewis & Kane, at their kids' first day of school and Lewis draws Justin in, recognizing him as a sports star. The men bond quickly when their children end up hijacking a school bus. Justin springs into action, getting aboard the bus and stopping it safely. The act brings more problems for him as he doesn't have a license, leading the police to get involved, giving his ex more ammunition to use against him in the custody fight, especially after he gets bashed for trying to stop a domestic disturbance outside the bar where he works as a bouncer. Justin finds a friend in Lucy, a bartender there who covers for him so he won't lose his job. Lucy is later revealed to be Lewis' daughter. Justin gets an offer to join another team out of state by his former agent, just to get rid of him, but he knows it will force him to break ties with his kids. After being confronted by the school's assistant principal, the quartet of dads set out to make things right by finding the principal who was medicated after the incident and went missing on Kane's watch. Justin helps track her down and when his sons herald him as a hero with a drawing of him saving the bus, Justin decides to refuse the new contract and stay in town for his kids. A full zip from the first episode is available below. "House Husbands" was the highest rated drama this year in Australia and has been renewed for a second season.

Sarah Brown on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (2012)

Zeo guest star Sarah Brown (Heather, Zeo) joins the ranks of Power Rangers alums who have appeared on the long-running crime drama, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." Brown guest starred in the eighth episode of the current season, titled "CSI on Fire," which aired last month. The episode begins with the CSI Las Vegas crew uncovering a mass gravesite, filled with victims from a two-year old investigation based in Seattle. Investigator Finlay (series star Elisabeth Shue), who lost her job in Seattle, because of her unproven theory about the possible killer, the wealthy Tom Cooley, instantly realizes the connection and sets out to prove Cooley's guilt and not let him get away again. Sarah Brown appears in three scenes as Marla Louie, the wife of a Seattle cop whose class ring is found in the soil amongst the bodies, a ring Marla claims to have lost back in high school while out partying. Chipping away at Marla's story and realizing she's hiding something, Finlay gets to the truth and Marla reveals that she was almost the first victim of Tom Cooley (and his friends/accomplices) murder spree. Marla managed to escape before being buried and kept quiet, given Tom's wealthy status in town even back in high school.
