Gareth Yuen on "Ponderosa" (2001)



Six years before he became Operation Overdrive's Blue Ranger, Gareth Yuen (Dax, Overdrive) had a starring role on the western remake of "Bonanza," called "Ponderosa." Yuen played the role of Hop Sing, a Chinese man forced to work in the town bar until the Cartwright family helps to buy his freedom. He becomes a trusted friend of the family and is the last to see Mrs. Cartwright alive before she is killed in an explosion. Yuen appeared in several scenes of the two-hour pilot episode. Archie Kao on "Heroes" (2006)



Archie Kao (Kai, Lost Galaxy) is no stranger to hit primetime television, given his recurring role on the top-rated CBS drama "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." Kao jumped to NBC to guest star on the new hit series "Heroes," during its first season episode titled "Hiros." Kao portrayed an emergency room doctor who treats Claire Bennet (series regular Hayden Panettiere) after a car accident. Kao appears in one extended scene and then reappears in the background of another. He was the first of three PR actors to appear on the series. Katrina Browne on "Xena: Warrior Princess" - 2 (1998)

Katrina Browne (Kapri, Ninja Storm) made her second appearance on "Xena: Warrior Princess" during its fourth season. In the episode "Locked Up and Tied Down," Xena is persecuted for the murder of a beautiful young woman named Thalassa, whom she trapped during her years of evil. Browne portrays Thalassa in flashbacks. When Xena is sentenced to prison on Shark Island, she once again encounters Thalassa who turns out to be the commandant of the facility, seeking revenge on Xena for the disfiguring attack she sentenced her to years before. Browne appears in several scenes opposite series star Lucy Lawless. A full zip of screencaps is available for download below the preview pics.

Edward Laurence Albert on "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" (1993)



Years before he starred on Time Force, veteran actor Edward Laurence Albert (Mr. Collins, Time Force) went back in time to portray Dr. William Burke on the old west drama "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman." Albert made his first of four appearances in the season two episode "Where the Heart Is, Part 1." Dr. Quinn (series star Jane Seymour) meets Dr. Burke upon her return to Boston to help her sick mother. Albert becomes a love interest for Dr. Quinn as the two work together and he begins to tempt her into staying for good. Expect screencaps from part 2 of the episode in the next blog update.

Firass Dirani on "Kick" - 4 (2007)




Firass Dirani (Nick/Bowen, Mystic Force) continued his recurring role on the New Zealand comedy series "Kick." In its sixth episode of the season titled "Love the One You're With," Firass reprises his role as Amen Salim, good friend of series regular Hoa Tran (played by Anh Do). Hoa discovers that Amen has sold him out in his endeavor to start his own restaurant. Amen pitches the idea to his boss instead, a meeting which Hoa walks in on. Later Amen is confronted and tries to make amends with his friend. He also manages to hit on his sister's secret girlfriend during a neighborhood party.
