Amy Jo Johnson (Kimberly, MMPR) starred in the adventure film "Veritas, Prince of Truth." Johnson portrays Marty Williams, a struggling single mother whose son, Kern, is obsessed with the comic book hero, Veritas. Marty has an obsession of her own, as she takes in any stray animal she finds on her way home. When Veritas travels into the real world and seeks Kern's help to stop the evil villainess Nemesii, Kern steps up to help him. Marty isn't sure what to make of the strange man Kern's brought into their apartment, but after reading some of the comic books, she begins to believe. They set out to find the missing creator of the Veritas comics, hoping he can write a new future for Veritas' world. Along the way, Veritas finds himself becoming a part of Marty & Kern's family. After the defeat of Nemesii, Veritas returns to his comic world but leaves Kern behind with a very special gift, to draw real things and people into that world, allowing Kern & Marty to join Veritas in the comic book with all their animals before they can be evicted.
Keith Robinson (Joel, Lightspeed) plays a supporting role in the disaster drama "Frozen Impact." The film centers around the Blanchard family who's complicated life is turned upside down by a freak hailstorm, which rains down tennis ball-sized hail on their town, destroying things in its wake. Dr. Blanchard and her paramedic husband Dan are caring for their ill son who needs a liver transplant. The organ is en route when the storm strikes, causing the plane to crash. Dan makes it to the wreckage and salvages the liver. Robinson appears as an unnamed camera man who is filming news footage with a reporter when the storm strikes. He is sent to the hospital to have his injuries treated and meets Dr. Blanchard. When she learns that the liver specialist can't make the trip from the city to perform her son's surgery, she enlists Robinson's help. He sets up his camera in the operating room so that she can be coached through the surgery while the specialist observes through the camera. Robinson appears in several pivotal scenes of the film, despite his character having no name.
Hercules finds himself trying to help a bloodthirsty killer named Morrigan turn away from violence and take up her destiny as a sacred Druid in the Season 5 episode "Render Unto Caesar." Hercules also finds himself preparing a Celtic village for the impending invasion of Julius Caesar (played by Karl Urban). Stuart Devenie (voice of Imperius, Mystic Force) appears throughout the episode as Kernunnos, a demonic villain and former lover of Morrigan. He has no intention of letting her turn over a new leaf and even uses their daughter as bait to stop her from joining the side of good. Leading the Celtic village is Bronagh played by Alistair Browning (Jake Brooks, Ninja Storm). Bronagh is very willing to accept Hercules' help in preparing the villagers to fight, while most of them would rather give up, especially in the face of Kernunnos' onslaught as well. This is Devenie's third post on the blog from "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys."
Season 5 of "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" is available on DVD
