Overdrive villainess Ria Vandervis (Miratrix, Overdrive) played a supporting role in the New Zealand daredevil comedy "The Devil Dared Me To." Vandervis appears as Cindy Cockburn, the girlfriend of washed up daredevil Dick Johansonson (played by Matt Heath). Cindy travels with him and his crew on their stunt tour. The two even get engaged, despite the fact that she constantly cheats on him under his nose, even with a member of his crew. Cindy is ultimately killed when one of Dick's stunts goes wrong and his car crashes into the snack cart where she is standing. Mysic Force voice actor Stuart Devenie (voice of Imperius, Mystic Force) also appears in two scenes of the film. He plays Mr. Jones, the father of lead character Randy Campbell's fiancee, nicknamed Tragedy, who is killed during a stunt. Mr. Jones returns to introduce Randy to his unknown son at the end of the film.Ria Vandervis
