Anna Hutchison & Jake Lindesay on "Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities" (2009)
Former Yellow Ranger Anna Hutchison (Lily, Jungle Fury) stars on the Aussie series "Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities." The second season of the gritty crime drama chronicles drug trafficking between Australian and New Zealand in the 1970's and is based around true events. Hutchison makes her debut in Episode 3 of the second series titled "Brave New World." She stars as Alison Dine a schoolteacher who comes to Australia with her lover Wayne Robb to escape after her mother's death. Alison immediately falls for lead character Terry, a big name in the drug trade. She is instantly intrigued by his business and gets very involved with helping him sneak money & drugs out of the country. Alison also spurns her boyfriend Wayne for a more dangerous lifestyle with Terry. Playing Wayne Robb is another Power Rangers alum, Jake Lindesay (Ben, Mystic Force), who portrayed Madison's potential love interest Ben in the Mystic Force episode "Rock Solid." Lindesay is not too happy to discover that he's being dumped by Alison for Terry, who is his boss. Both Hutchison & Lindesay are expected to continue in their roles throughout the series. Operation Overdrive's Gareth Yuen was previously featured on the blog for appearing on "Underbelly."
