Archie Kao (Kai, Lost Galaxy) played a major role in the 2002 film "Purpose." Set in the rapidly-rising world of internet start-ups, the film follows John Elias as he starts his own business with some college friends, only to be run out by an intense power play, deceptively crafted by one of those friends. Kao portrays Kiko Matsuo, one of John's closest friends whom he brings aboard when he starts his company. When the company becomes corrupted John is duped into firing Kiko and Victor, his other close buddy. Kao plays gay in the film, as his character Kiko and Victor are a couple.
