Archie Kao & Ilia Volok on "Once and Again" (1999)

In the same year he began his role as Lost Galaxy's Blue Ranger, Archie Kao (Kai, Lost Galaxy) took on a notable role on the family drama "Once and Again." Kao appeared a couple times on the series as Steve, an employee of one of the show's main characters, architect Rick Sammler. In the episode "A Dream Deferred," Steve helps his boss move a countertop which he plans to use to help build a coffee bar in his girlfriend's book store. Kao appears in only one scene, alongside the series stars Sela Ward & Billy Campbell. He's joined in this episode by another future PR star. Ilia Volok (Viktor Adler/Master Org, Wild Force) also appears in this episode as a friendly repairman named Sonny, who helps Rick's girlfriend Lily when her washing machine breaks down. When he tries to install the new model, Sonny & Lily discover that it won't fit despite being the exact same model, which forces her to upgrade. Volok appears in two scenes.
