Former Pink Ranger Catherine Sutherland (Kat, MMPR-Turbo) guest starred on the teen series "Sweet Valley High." While settling into her MMPR role, Sutherland pulled double duty, appearing as Ginger in the second season episode titled "One Big Mesa." Sutherland appeared in several scenes throughout the episode as a naughty cheerleader from Big Mesa and enemy of the Sweet Valley gang. She and her boyfriend openly taunt their football rivals before the big game and when SVH's head cheerleader, Jessica (series star Brittany Daniel), looks for revenge by stealing the Big Mesa mascot, Ginger gets her revenge by stealing the Sweet Valley mascot, which happens to be a real person. This forces Jessica's twin sister, Liz, to come up with a cross-dressing scheme to rescue her friend, Winston. Both "Sweet Valley High" and "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" were produced by Haim Saban.
