Amy Jo Johnson
(Kimberly, MMPR) played a pivotal part in the third season "Flashpoint" episode, titled "Terror." Johnson's character, Jules Callaghan is enjoying her day off with Steve, a paramedic who she's been dating to help get over her failed romance with her SRU teammate, Sam Braddock. As Steve openly discusses his growing feelings for her, Jules seems hesitant to respond. Then a shot heard around the corner interrupts them. The two come upon a hostage situation in a restaurant. Steve rushes in to help an injured waiter and Jules follows, after calling for backup. The two become hostages, as an unhinged gunman demands they all turn over a man he believes is a terrorist. Jules tries to negotiate with the young man, as her SRU team arrives outside. Things get more intense when Steve gets in the man's way, leading to him getting shot. The situation is deflated thanks to the heroic entrance of Jules' ex, Sam, who distracts the man long enough for Jules to take his gun away. The SRU team soon learns the man's mental state was influenced by his social worker, who believed the restaurant's owner was a terrorist. The social worker heads to a mosque with homemade nerve gas. The SRU team tries to stop him before he can hurt more people. In the end, Jules thanks Sam for his help, then visits Steve in the hospital, only for him to break-up with her, knowing she's not in love with him. "Goodbye," a song written & performed by Amy Jo Johnson, can be heard during the closing scene. A full zip of Johnson's screencaps are available to download below.
