Time Force actor Edward Laurence Albert (Mr. Collins, Time Force) played a supporting role in the 2001 feature film "Ablaze," which centers around a group of brave firefighters and those inside a busy city hospital when an oil refinery explodes causing an inferno that threatens to engulf an entire city. Albert appears as Mayor Phillips, a corrupt politician who is ill-equipped to lead when the blaze starts. Albert appears in several scenes of the film, but is never put into any danger from the spreading blaze. It is revealed over the course of the film that Mayor Phillips was in league with the owner of the refinery who triggered the explosion on purpose as part of an insurance scam. The film stars Tom Arnold, Ice-T and Battlestar Galactica's Michael Trucco.
