Two years after her stint as Young Aisha, Sicily Sewell (Young Aisha, MMPR) played a young Queen Latifah. In the 1998 television movie "Mama Flora's Family," Sicily appeared as one of the film's main characters, Diana during her formative years. The film explores the family of Flora Palmer (played by Cicely Tyson) through three generations. Diana is Flora's granddaughter, whom she takes care of, along with her brothers, after the untimely death of Diana's mother. Sicily appears throughout the middle of the film, as her character's scenes are all flashbacks. As an adult, Diana is portrayed by Queen Latifah. The film is based on Alex Haley's book of the same name.
