Vernon Wells in "Beneath Loch Ness" (2001)

The science fiction film "Beneath Loch Ness" finds a research team in Scotland when their expedition's leader is mysteriously killed in a diving accident. As more attacks occur and strange animals are sighted, rumors begin to rise that the famed Loch Ness Monster may be responsible for all of the killings. Vernon Wells (Ransik, Time Force) plays a supporting role in the film as the local constable who is investigating the killings but refuses to believe that the Loch Ness Monster exists. After a large sea creature is found dead and washed up on shore, the Constable calls a press conference claiming to have captured the deceased monster. The scientific research team, however, refuses to believe this is true, given the smaller size of the creature, which they believe is another victim of the Loch Ness Monster. In another dangerous dive, the team seeks to destroy the creature despite the warnings from the constable to leave town immediately.

"Beneath Loch Ness" is available on DVD
