The second episode of the new series "Necessary Roughness," deals with anchorman, Griffin Paige, a former war correspondent with some wounds of his own. He experiences uncontrollable laughter while on the air, causing his job to be in danger. He enlists the help of therapist, Dani Santino (series star Callie Thorne), to get over his problem. Erin Cahill
(Jen, Time Force) appears as Griffin's wife, Meredith. She meets Dani and fills her in on Griffin's other problems with drinking, insomnia and rage, which he hadn't revealed. Meredith later consults with Dani again with her fears that her husband might be on the verge of a breakdown, despite being back on television. She reveals how they did field work together but after getting his own show & having a child, he seems to have changed. Dani ultimately discovers that the root of Griffin's problems is his new fatherhood, which has him feeling insecure and wanting to run away, which causes him to subconciously sabotage his job so that he can return to reporting on the war in the field. Erin Cahill appears in three scenes of the episode, titled "Anchor Management."
