Gabrielle Fitzpatrick in "The Last Sin Eater" (2007)

Gabrielle Fitzpatrick (Dulcea, MMPR: The Movie) played a supporting role in the 2007 film "The Last Sin Eater," which tells the story of a 10-year old girl named Cadi and her quest to find the mysterious Sin Eater so that he may take away her biggest sin. The film takes place in the 1850's in an Appalachian village settled by Welsh immigrants, who believe that when they die the Sin Eater will eat their sins, leaving the cloaked stranger gravely disfigured from the ritual. Gabrielle Fitzpatrick plays Bletsung McLeod, who was outcast from the village and now finds her self in love with the Sin Eater. This leads Cadi to her remote home, where she finds refuge from her family whom she believes hates her because of her younger sister's death, which she thinks she caused. Bletsung counsels Cadi and in the end, the gravest sin of the entire village is revealed: their parents slaughtered an Indian village in order to take the land they now live on. The Sin Eater is absolved of his role and allowed to live openly with Bletsung, as the village opens themselves up to proper religion.

"The Last Sin Eater" is available on DVD
