Dwayne Cameron, Ari Boyland, Antonia Prebble, Beth Allen & Miriama Smith on "The Tribe" (2001)

Episode #48 of "The Tribe's" third season began it's roller coaster ride towards the finale of the third series. After being held hostage for

weeks, Amber, played by Beth Allen (Vella, Overdrive) and Trudy, played by Antonia Prebble (Clare, Mystic Force) are finally seen locked away, scared and worried if they'll ever get out. They have no idea that their captor, Ned, has been killed and the only other person who knows their whereabouts is their rival Ebony. Back at the mall, Amber's love Bray, played by Dwayne Cameron (Tyzonn, Overdrive), is present with the other members of their tribe when Ned's body is delivered to the

mall by Moz and her followers. Miriama Smith (Elsa, Dino Thunder) reprises her role as Moz. The Mallrats immediately wonder if Moz may have killed Ned, but she tells them the truth, that she found his body. This has Ebony worried when she realizes that Ned's departure with the villainous Guardian may have ended with The Guardian killing Ned. She rushes to save Trudy & Amber, just before The Guardian can get his hands on them. The girls return to the mall, where Amber & Bray are reunited and Trudy gets her baby back. Amber's next scene marks

one of the series' biggest continuity errors, as Amber appears to be very pregnant only hours after she was seen captive, with no visible signs of her pregnancy. All of this occurs amidst the election campaign to choose a city leader, which has pit Ebony against Moz. With her heroic deeds made public, Ebony gets the victory. Series regular Ari Boyland (Flynn, RPM) appears throughout the episode when his character, KC, tries to sell a special necklace after his crush May refuses to take it. KC ends up selling it to Pride, not realizing that Pride intended to give it to May, who graciously accepts from him.
