Paul Freeman (Ivan Ooze, MMPR: The Movie) played a supporting role in the 1999 cable television movie "The Devil's Arithmetic." The film centers on a teenaged girl (played by Kristen Dunst) who is resistant to the traditions of her Jewish faith until she is somehow transported back in time and forced to live through the atrocities that her relatives experienced. Freeman appears throughout the film as a Rabbi in the past who is taken to the interment camp as well. The rabbi tries to keep the faith of his people alive, through great despair, which includes him losing his wife and daughters when they are suspected of carrying disease. He later is forced to watch his son hanged for trying to escape the camp. Freeman appears in several scenes alongside the film's stars Kristen Dunst and Brittany Murphy.
