Archie Kao (Kai, Lost Galaxy) returned to "Once and Again" to reprise his role as Steve. Kao appeared in the show's eighth episode titled "The Past is Prologue." Unlike his first appearance, he appears in several scenes of the episode which show main character Rick Sammler running his archetecture business, where Steve is an employee. Kao shares several scenes with series star Billy Campbell, as the company competes with a rival to get a major contract, forcing them to work overtime, especially after they learn how far along their competition is. This would be Kao's last appearance on the series.
