Edward Laurence Albert on "The Profiler" (1997)

During the first season of the crime drama "The Profiler," Edward Laurence Albert (Mr. Collins, Time Force) made a major guest appearance playing psychotic serial killer Arthur de Rhodes. Main character Sam Waters (series star Ally Walker) originally captured de Rhodes years before and he was the first man she ever shot, a fact which de Rhodes takes great pride in. Sam is forced to interview de Rhodes when a murder occurs that seems to fit the style he used years before in his killings. With him safely locked in a prison for the criminally insane, Sam seeks his help in tracking down the copycat. But when de Rhodes appears to be captured from inside the prison, Sam must find him as well. In the end, she discovers that the copycat was orchestrated by Arthur de Rhodes to manage his escape from prison and kill more victims. Sam comes face-to-face with the cocky killer and lies about him being the first person she ever shot, which catches him off-guard just long enough for her partner to shoot him.

Season 1 of "The Profiler" is available on DVD
